The position holder will be supporting the test aircraft production in Oberpfaffenhofen, as well as industrialization for the final assembly line in Leipzig with the following key tasks:

  • Assessment, verification and release of the design w.r.t. manufacturability
  • Researching process to maximize the efficiency of production line and planning factory layouts
  • Creation of delivery specifications for 1st Tier Suppliers, definition and specification of tools & jigs required for final assembly line
  • 1st level technical support to production / assembly deviations and for troubleshooting, processing of non-conformities and concession, creation of manufacturing / rework instructions
  • Multi-Functional Team lead to continuously improve the assemble process, incl. technology & lean manufacturing / assembly-friendly concepts, Design-to-Cost initiatives

Technical focal point for 1st Tier supplier to verify manufacturing plan & rate readiness – acts as Field

You’ll bring this with you

  • Bachelor Degree in Manufacturing (Systems) Engineering or equivalent
  • > 5 years experience in Aerospace Manufacturing Engineering
  • Practical experience in Electrical / Avionic installation and verification
  • very good communication skills in English and German is a plus
  • strong analytical skills
  • teamwork oriented
  • ability to generate a baseline for decision making of stakeholders that are no technical experts
  • project management ability
  • good ERP (SAP) / PLM (3DX) knowledge
  • commitment to quality and safety requirements.
