Your Tasks

The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for the leadership, management, growth and development of all supply chain activities in support of 328 SSG and our sister company, DRA GmbH. This key leadership position represents an exciting opportunity to develop and implement a robust strategy for the organization to address the entire supply chain life cycle.

  • Develop, lead, train and mentor a diverse supply chain organization which embraces the company culture of agility, innovation and sustainability
  • Lead program management, outsourced production management, commercial activities, contracting, supplier quality management, logistics and import/export activities regarding of all suppliers to include procurement of all systems, subsystems, commodities and services from domestic and international suppliers
  • Integrate seamlessly with program, engineering and manufacturing teams to manage and facilitate supplier program execution: facilitating supplier selection; identifying, mitigating and resolving risks; leading and driving supplier performance
  • Deliver cost optimisation in the supply chain without sacrificing schedule and quality for both production and ongoing product support
  • Oversight and management of supplier performance through metrics, systems, site visits/audits, program reviews, milestone achievement criteria, project schedule tracking, delivery schedule tracking, supplier quality analysis and other methods

Your Profile

  • BS/BA in related field (preferably engineering/technical degree with a business or engineering/technical masters degree) plus 15 years or more related experience
  • Professional, demonstrated experience as Supplier/Supply Chain Program Manager, Supply Chain Manager and/or Major Supplier Manager for multiple large-scale (>$100M) aerospace programs, preferably with aircraft OEM product development experience
  • Ability to act in a leadership capacity, provide vision to those supervised, and guide diverse departments and employees to ever higher levels of achievement
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating non-recurring cost, recurring cost and product support agreements with large aviation suppliers
  • Experience establishing requests for proposals packages, statements of work, specifications, technical work packages, production work packages, interface control documents, product support agreements, strategic agreements, master agreements, target pricing, non-disclosure agreements, source selection evaluation matrixes, supplier quality requirements, and industry typical agreements that are part of major contract/commercial agreements for supplier provided systems
  • Experience in leading supplier management teams to facilitate supplier performance during design, transition to production, qualification/certification and production phases of aerospace programs
  • Experience in leading supply chain elements of Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) systems, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Materials, Requirements & Planning (MRP) systems to facilitate all parts and contract systems being delivered on time, compliant and in accordance with all requirements
  • Ability to effectively relate with others and cooperate as a team member with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships across areas of the organization - Programs, Engineering, Manufacturing, Leadership
  • Fluent in English; German would be a plus
  • Ability to Travel 25 - 50%
